Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Welcome to AI CAD Generator. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and the operator of aicadgen.com ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About us
AI CAD Generator is operated from Australia. The Service generates parametric CAD files (STEP, STL, DXF) from natural-language prompts using third-party large-language-model and 3D-generation providers.
2. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@aicadgen.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. The Service
The Service accepts text prompts, sends them to a third-party AI provider, executes generated parametric code in our sandbox, and returns CAD files to you. Output is provided on an "as-is" basis. AI-generated geometry is not guaranteed to be physically correct, manufacturable, or fit for any specific purpose.
You are responsible for verifying every output before manufacture, deployment, or any safety-critical use.
3.1 Intended use — concept and prototyping only
Everything the Service produces — 3D models, meshes, 2D drawings, floor plans and exported files — is intended for conceptual design and prototyping only.
Outputs are generated by AI from a written description. No load case has been applied, no design standard or building code has been checked, no material has been certified, and no qualified engineer has reviewed or signed off the result. A drawing produced by the Service may carry a title block, dimensions and tolerances; that presentation does not make it a certified engineering document.
You must not use any output for construction, manufacture, tooling, structural, medical, aerospace, automotive, pressure, lifting, electrical or any other safety-critical application unless and until it has been independently reviewed, verified and approved by a qualified and, where required, licensed engineer against every standard, code and regulation that applies in your jurisdiction and to your application. Every drawing we generate is stamped "CONCEPT / PROTOTYPE ONLY — NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION" for this reason, and you must not remove or obscure that stamp before passing a drawing to a third party.
Dimensions, wall thicknesses, materials, tolerances and finishes shown on an output are the design intent expressed in your prompt, not verified measurements or validated engineering specifications. You are solely responsible for confirming that a design is correct, buildable, compliant and safe before anything is made from it.
3.2 Summary of your responsibilities
- AiCadGen generates conceptual engineering models and drawings. It is an AI-assisted CAD generation tool, not an engineering consultancy.
- You are responsible for reviewing and validating every output before manufacture, construction, installation or commercial use.
- AiCadGen does not guarantee engineering accuracy or regulatory compliance. Where an output references a standard or code (for example AS1100, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3500, AS 1668.2 or the NCC), that means the design was drawn against that reference — it is not a certification that the design complies with it. Only a qualified, and where required licensed, engineer can determine compliance.
- You must not use the Service to infringe patents, copyrights, trademarks, design rights or trade secrets. Describing or uploading an image of an existing protected product so the Service reproduces it is your responsibility, not ours.
- You must have the rights to any file, photograph, sketch or drawing you upload. Do not upload material you do not own or have permission to use.
- You retain ownership of the original content you create, subject to these Terms. Ownership of AI-assisted outputs varies between jurisdictions and may not attract copyright protection in some of them; you are responsible for understanding the position that applies to you.
4. Plans, credits, and payment
- The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans, plus one-off credit top-ups.
- Prices are displayed and charged in US Dollars (USD). Your bank or card issuer handles any currency conversion to your local currency. Australian customers: GST is included in the displayed price where applicable.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; you retain access until the end of the paid period.
- Top-up credits remain on your account until used. They are a finite balance consumed by generations, and are non-transferable and non-refundable except where required by law.
- Failed generations (validation or sandbox errors) are automatically refunded as credits, less a failure fee covering the AI processing already consumed before the failure, charged at cost with no margin (typically a few credits). Free-plan generations and pure infrastructure errors are never charged a failure fee.
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
5. Acceptable use
You must use the Service in compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate it, and we reserve the right to refuse generations that the AI provider's safety systems flag.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 Your prompts and outputs
You retain all rights you have in the prompts you submit. To the extent we hold any rights in the CAD files generated from your prompts, we assign those rights to you on a royalty-free, perpetual basis. On free-tier plans, generated files may not be used commercially. Paid plans include a commercial-use licence.
We make no warranty that generated outputs are free of third-party claims. AI systems may produce output that resembles existing designs; you are responsible for clearing rights before commercial use.
6.2 Our platform
We retain all rights in the Service itself, including code, designs, and branding. You may not copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uptime. Maintenance, third-party AI provider outages, and unforeseen issues may interrupt access. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime, except as required by law.
8. Australian Consumer Law
If you are a "consumer" under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), our services come with statutory consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded — including that services be provided with due care and skill and be reasonably fit for purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your rights under the ACL.
Where permitted by law, our liability for breach of a non-excludable guarantee is limited to (at our option) re-supplying the service or refunding the price paid.
9. Limitation of liability (non-AU users)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and excluding rights under the ACL, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of profit, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability in any twelve-month period is capped at the total amount you paid us in that period, or USD$100 — whichever is greater.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or applicable law, your prompts, or your use of generated outputs (including manufacturing or deployment).
11. Suspension and termination
11.1 If you breach these Terms
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law, or if your activity creates risk to the Service, to us, or to other users. Where we do this, unused credits and any remaining paid period are forfeited, except where the ACL requires otherwise. We will tell you why, and you can dispute it by writing to support@aicadgen.com.
11.2 If we close your account for any other reason
We may also close an account for reasons unrelated to your conduct — for example if we discontinue the Service, a plan, or a feature you depend on. In that case:
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, unless the law or a security emergency requires us to act sooner.
- If you are on a paid subscription, we will refund the full subscription fee for the then-current billing period — you are not left having paid for a month you cannot use.
- You keep access to Download my data (section 11.4) for the whole notice period, and we will not delete your files before it ends.
11.3 If you close your account
You may close your account at any time from Account settings. Unused credits are not refunded except where required by the ACL, and a subscription you cancel yourself runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancel any store subscription (Apple ID or Google Play) separately so it does not renew.
11.4 Download my data
At any time — and before deleting your account — you can export everything we hold on you from Account settings → Download my data. The archive contains your profile, every project with its prompts, settings and generation history, your full chat transcripts, your credit and payment history, and the CAD files your account is entitled to download. See our Privacy Policy for how long data is kept.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The courts of New South Wales (and the federal courts of Australia where applicable) have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are an EU/UK consumer, you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence.
